Freeform Saddles
High-quality, comfortable treeless saddles, handmade in Italy.

Ultimate Trail
I am the Freeform saddle representative for Canada. I work with Saddle Up, located in Virginia, USA, to provide Canadians with these great saddles. I can help you choose the saddle and saddle pad to fit you and your horse's unique needs. You can also contact me with any questions about Freeform saddles.
Unlike traditional saddles with a rigid tree, treeless saddles are able to flex with the constantly changing shape of the horse's back as he/she is ridden at different gaits, up and down hills, over jumps, etc. The Freeform saddle base is injected with a thick but flexible foam to distribute the rider's weight and absorb shock. The saddles have lots of adjustability to fit each unique horse-rider pair. They are specially designed to be comfortable for women, boasting a wide seat and narrow twist (the area where your upper thighs rest), but many men love them as well. These saddles are used by many top endurance riders who need security and comfort for themselves and their horses for many rigorous hours on the trail.

Classic Trail
Saddle pad choice is important when riding in a treeless saddle. The pad helps to further distribute weight and absorb shock. Treeless pads have two open-cell foam inserts that fit into pockets on either side of the middle seam. This provides a channel to keep pressure off the horse's spine. Saddle Up is also partnered with Skito, a popular treeless pad manufacturer, and has designed Skito pads to pair with Freeform saddles.
Saddle panels, made with dense, closed-cell foam, can also be Velcroed onto the underside of any Freeform saddle. This can help balance the saddle, add more spinal clearance for horses with prominent spines or poor topline muscling, or better distribute the weight of a heavier rider.
Freeform offers English, endurance, and trail-style saddles, all handmade in Italy. Saddle Up also stocks interchangeable seats, saddle flaps, stirrup leathers, fenders, and seat bolsters (to give the seat more of a twist if needed). All Freeform saddles and accessories ship from the Saddle Up store in Virginia.
